While we have several ways that you can support our program, here is a short list of some of the items currently needed for our program here at the National Lekotek Center. You can donate any item on the list that suits your fancy, and because Lekotek is an not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization your donation is tax deductible. So get inspired! While the specific needs of each individual Lekotek center do vary, most sites are often looking for the donation of gently used or new toys that can be added to our toy lending libraries. It is important that the toys have all their pieces, are in good working condition, and are washable, which mean many plush stuffed animals are not accepted. Please contact the location in your area, to get more specific information.

Many Lekotek programs include Compuplay, a computer-based play program that includes assistive technology and other devices. Other Lekoteks incorporate computer play activities into their play sessions. Computers are also necessary for the administration of a Lekotek site. Thus, there is always a need for updated computer hardware and software.

Lekoteks are non-profit organizations that accept financial contributions in order to purchase new toys buy adapted equipment and defray the cost of providing services to families. The donation of time is one of the most generous gifts individuals can give to Lekotek. Expertise to help us repair broken toys, orchestrate playgroups, plan fundraising events, and provide counsel on our boards and committees is very important.
